by Natalie Williams

Image: Disney

This portion is regarded as my downright favourites. Compiled by “bisexual badass” and Archer volunteer Natalie Williams, its smart homage to Keira Knightley and her place in queer cannon. Queers in many cases are forced to discover just what resonates with our team within hetero pop society, Natalie’s ode to Keira is a perfect example of simply this.

Keira Knightley wasn’t merely an actress I had a crush on within my puberty. She had been a female just who gave me permission is my personal real self.”

by Ellie Freeman

That is a recent piece that we really appreciated. It paints these a vibrant image of an energetic drag club in Korea, in which drag performers and patrons identical could loudly and happily celebrate their queerness. An easy leading pick.

Many years of pity, racism, and biphobia had told me that I happened to ben’t suitable. Not straight enough, queer sufficient, girl sufficient, Asian adequate, Australian sufficient. Outside those wall space, we had been sins and illegal. However in that drag club, we danced. We celebrated Korea, we celebrated queerness, and that I celebrated me.

Hetsplaining male bisexuality
by Josh Mckenzie

Not just performed this piece present me to my now-favourite word ‘hetsplaining’, it will an excellent work of examining the often-erased connection with male bisexuality. It speaks to many studies which have been finished with the aim of ‘proving’ male bisexuality, which Josh marvels when it comes to. Do they try and ‘prove’ heterosexuality too? Are private experiences inadequate?

This pleads practical question: the reason why the aversion to male bisexuality? Do we provide a threat to hegemonic masculinity and for that reason need to be delegitimised?”
